the boy

"You okay man? It's still been like a week and your still talking about her."
"She was the one dude."
"How could she be the one? You hardly knew her. You just meat the chick."
"I knew."
"Dude, the though you where a weirdo."
"I KNEW MAN!"
"Fine. Suite yourself." Angle walks away from me. They all walk away. They don't really care because I know all of my "friends" have a crush on her. They all do, so they shouldn't even bother pretending like they care. I'm out of the way now even though i wasn't really competition.
I secretly think they all hate me, think I'm a dumb ass, not worth anything much, but I don't care. It was only that girl. That one girl. My Catherine who I wanted to impress, and she' scared of me. This can't be happening. I can't believe it. How is it that all of the girls that I like think I'm a freak. I'm a reasonable guy if you get to know me, I do act out in class but really. One day they're gonna regret crossing paths with me. Catherine is going to regret embarrassing me in front of basically everyone. Damn! She's a bitch, but you know. I still like her. I will never stop liking her. I can't. I frekin' love her!
But how do I get her to notice me?

The Girl

"So will you go out with him Catherine?" Angel says
"What are you talkin' about?" The girl is uncomfortable. Evertime she gets asked out it's by a weirdo. This guy: he has a unibrow, he talks about pulling his pants down, and he pretends to have sex with horses in the middle of class. He's a one of a kind. I just can't do this anymore. I make my out of the classroom with Angle still bugging me.
"Just hear him out Catherine."
"No," I start to laugh. I glance at the top of the stairs, and there he is. I'm sort of surprised that he shaved his unibrow. I can't help it. A giggle escapes my lips. It's not even like I'm laughing at him it's just that...I'm a little nervous. Omg! I got to get out of here. I run down the stairs, putting as much distance between me and the unibrow guy.

The boy who got turned down

He takes a deep breath to build up his courage. He's been waiting to ask this girl, Caterina, out for weeks. Ever since school started in fact. A lot of his other friends want to ask out this red haired beauty, but he's the only one with the balls to do it. He's put down his front for the first time in years. He's not going to hide behind jokes this time; this time he's gonna do this right. He went through his mental check list: 1. Shaved... check 2. Shaved my unibrow... check 3. Nice clothes.... check All he had to do now was ask her. 'Yeah that's all' the thinks sarcastically. He makes his way over to the top of the stairs, waiting for the signal from his wingman. Fredrick lookes up, and Caterina turns around. His heart skips a beat; one second later the girl of his dreams is running down the stairs laughing. The boy is still. For a minute he can't even breath, his face is expresionless, and he feels numb all over. He can't fathome what has just happened to him, he just can't register the pain. The catches Fredericks stare and their eyes are locked; Frederick seames to ask his pal if is staight. So this brave boy he takes a deep breath and smiles sort of playing it off, but inside of him something has died. So once again he goes back into his shell, hiding behind his jokes, but this boy is truely broken. Based on a true account of a friend.
